FENCE TYPES:
Butted Fences; A standard butted timber fence is the most common and affordable option where the palings are placed as close together as possible. The palings may shrink slightly after some time and create a small gap.
Lapped & Capped Fence: This is basically a lapped timber fence finish with a capping rail installed to the top. Capping rail can give the fence a cleaner finish and a little extra height.
Good Neighbour Fence; A good neighbour timber fence is a decorative or feature style of fence where the palings are spaced on either side of the fence.
Solid Timber Fence (Lapped); A lapped timber fence has no gaps as the palings are lapped over each other. This will provide more privacy and better noise protection to your garden.
